at peace

i'm finally home for thanksgiving and i've been waiting for this feeling for a long time. i won't lie, college is scary for me because i can think of all the things that can go wrong. our campus sends out "safety alerts" which keep us updated on campus crime and all of that. when i start thinking about these alerts and my ocd kicks in (obsessing over unwanted thoughts or ideas) getting home safely feels impossible. so today, i'd like to take the time to appreciate the water at home, not having to pull up directions on my phone to get places, and to feeling safe.

everytime i come home, i like to just take it all in, especially since i live by the beach and it's absolutely gorgeous. so to all of you getting ready to travel for fall break, i hope you find peace in wherever you're going.
